In short

NetWorth+ is a free net worth tracker app for iPhone and Android. You add each account and debt with its balance, from checking and savings to a 401(k), IRA, student loans and credit cards, and NetWorth+ adds them into one net worth figure and charts it over time. It never connects to your bank: you update balances yourself, import a CSV from your bank, or let the transactions you add move them. Pro adds a five-year projection and unlimited accounts.

The basics

What goes into your net worth

Net worth is what you own minus what you owe. The hard part is remembering everything on both sides.

What you own

  • Checking and savings accounts, and cash
  • Retirement accounts: a 401(k), 403(b), traditional or Roth IRA
  • Brokerage accounts and other investments
  • Money other people owe you

What you owe

  • Credit card balances
  • Student loans
  • Car loans and personal loans
  • A mortgage

A home and a car are assets too, and many people leave them out to keep the figure about money they can actually reach. Either way works if you stay consistent, so the change from one month to the next means something.

How it works

One figure, and the story behind it

Every account, one figure

Add each account and debt once, with today's balance. NetWorth+ totals what you own and what you owe into one net worth.

A history you can see

Your balances are recorded every day, so the chart shows the trend over months, not just where you are today.

Fix a balance in one step

When a figure drifts from your bank, enter the real balance. NetWorth+ starts from it, so you do not have to hunt for the missing transaction.

Where it is heading (Pro)

A five-year projection in cautious, expected and optimistic bands, based on your own history.

A spreadsheet is free and completely yours, and some people prefer it. Bank-linked apps update themselves. NetWorth+ sits between the two: no bank login, but a chart, a history and budgets without building anything.

Questions

Good to know

Is NetWorth+ a free net worth tracker?
Yes. The free plan tracks net worth with up to 5 accounts, with no time limit and no ads. Pro, at $49.99 a year or $7.99 a month in the US, adds unlimited accounts and the five-year projection.
Do I have to link my bank or brokerage?
No. NetWorth+ never asks for a login. You enter balances yourself, import a CSV from your bank, or let the transactions you add move them.
Can I track a 401(k) or IRA?
Yes. Add it as an investment account and update the balance when your statement arrives, or as often as you like.
How often should I update my net worth?
Monthly is plenty for most people. What tells you something is the trend over a year, not the figure on one day.
Does it count money friends owe me?
It can. Balances from shared bills can count toward your net worth, and you can switch that off.
What if my net worth is negative?
That is common, especially with student loans, and NetWorth+ shows it plainly. What matters is whether the number is moving up.
Is NetWorth+ a wealth tracker?
Yes. It tracks what you own and owe, and charts your net worth over time.
